Mila Al-Ayoubi

Mila Al-Ayoubi is a multi-faceted campaign strategist and grassroots change agent with 15+ years’ experience as a political scientist and practitioner. She excels at driving dynamic campaigns to success, growing capacity to scale and pioneering creative strategies to overcome seemingly impossible obstacles. Mila has been at the center of two winning statewide ballot initiative efforts in FL (defended against bad fiscal policy [TABOR] in 2012 and amended the state's constitution to restore voting rights to 1.4M people with felony convictions in 2018). She spent 7 years with the Michigan Democratic Party learning the art of campaigning and dedicated that time to growing grassroots power in FL with dozens of in-state organizations, as part of a collective effort to affect and sustain transformative change movements across the country (a project of the Ballot Initiative Strategy Center). Mila received her Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Master of Science in Administration (Public Administration concentration) from Central Michigan University, where she completed her master’s thesis (capstone project), “Campaign Spending: An Examination of the Effectiveness of Using Political Consultants in Campaign Strategy.”
